Vicor and its divisions — Westcor and the VIA network — offer the widest variety of power solutions in the industry. Starting with DC-DC converter modules (inputs from 10 to 400 Vdc; outputs from 1 to 100 Vdc; power ratings from 10 to 600 W; full, half and quarter brick package sizes; several product grades and temperature ranges, including Military versions); modular accessory products to enable the implementation of "building-block" systems; add to this our capability to provide unlimited variations and non-standard solutions; then include a multitude of total solution AC-DC and DC-DC product lines configurable with the DC-DC converter modules.
We realize that this broad product line makes it difficult to quickly select the optimum product for your needs. In an effort to streamline this process, we have developed this Product Selector to try and quickly lead you to the most suitable products for your application. Even though there is probably more than one solution to any specific input/output combination, we have tried to narrow down these options to a single product recommendation. We realize that this goal, however admirable, may not always result in the product that is best suited to a particular application as there are simply too many variables to consider for a simple "rule based" product selector such as this.
We will indicate possible alternate solutions where appropriate, but you are encouraged to discuss your specific application with one of our applications engineers, especially if you feel this selector is not providing you with the optimum solution. The basic selection criteria we are using will generally result in the recommendation of the smallest and most cost effective solution consistent with the information you have provided.
